R13 Batt Insulation - 24" OC

This is a fantastic product. I was impressed with the quality and how easy it was to blow it in ourselves. Havelock was super responsive to all the questions we had. Thank you so much for creating an alternative and superior product.

I despise working around fiberglass and rockwool (also spun glass). I love this product, especially since the recycled-denim insulation is no longer produced. This insulation weighs less than the denim, so that's nice. But it is harder to cut/tear. It smells like sheep, but it's less dusty than the denim, so I don't mind the smell. Actually buying and getting the product is a bit of a hassle. It would be great if a local store would stock the different types, the way Lowes used to carry the denim insulation. Shipping is expensive and takes a while and my tiny street in Seattle doesn't fit a semitruck. I've used Havelock in our attic and interior and exterior walls. I'm hoping it repels sugar ants better than the fiberglass, which they seem to love.

I used this product to insulate the perimeter of the foundation, applying it standing up from inside the basement. If I'd used fiberglass I'd have had to finish the basement ceiling. This stuff can be left exposed (with the help of insulation hangers). Expensive but worth it for my small coverage area.

I didn't want to use anything unnatural or chemical (like spray insulation) due to the possibility that the wine bottle corks could absorb the off gasses. The Hwool was perfect for this application and it helps to regulate the humidity too and won't attract mold.

The insulation is easy to install, smells good, feels good and works well. Worth the little bit of extra cost. It's easy to cut and decide. Works well around wires and plumbing.
